Women's volleyball team confirms training list ahead of Asian Championships, joining Kim Yeon-kyung, Lee Han-bi, Kwon Min-ji and Lee Sun-woo
The Korea Volleyball Association announced the list of women's volleyball teams to convene at the Jincheon National Training Center on August 6.
The 16 national team members announced by the association on the 24th consisted of two setters, two liberos, four middle blockers (centers), two apogit spikers (rights), and six outside heaters (lefts).

Compared to the 2023 Volleyball Nations League (VNL) held last month, there are many new faces. Yeom Hye-sun (KGC Ginseng Corporation) was excluded from the setter, and Kim Yeon-kyeon joined the libero instead of Shin Yeon-kyung (IBK Industrial Bank of Korea). Kim Dae-eun, who played as an outside heater in VNL, was selected as an apogit spy this time. KGC Ginseng Corporation's outside heater Lee Sun-woo was also listed as an apogit spy. Kwon Min-ji and Lee Han-bi newly joined the outside heater lineup.
Cesar Hernandez, head coach of the national team, will enter the Jincheon National Training Center on August 2 after watching the women's division of the 2023 Gumi-Dodram Cup professional volleyball tournament. After three weeks of training, the national team is scheduled to leave the country on the morning of August 28 to participate in the 2023 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, from August 30 to September 6.
